Consumer Electronics
Through years, we have successfully established a strong foundation for our business and met our goals. "Generalimpex" core business activities were import, wholesale, retail and distribution of consumer electronic goods. These include electrical products and home appliances from major brands; SONY, SHARP, NATIONAL, PANASONIC, TOSHIBA etc. The company monitors the Mongolian consumer needs demands through sales surveillance and research. Locating our showrooms and stores in populated areas, modernizing them we have boosted our sales.
Hotel and Hospitality
In 1997 the Company opened the high-level Genex" hotel for domestic and international tourists in the heart of the city. It can accommodate up to 32 persons with 16 rooms of deluxe, semi deluxe and single qualifications equipped with all necessary furniture and accessories for excellent relaxing and working environment. Each room has bath, shower, drier /fan. telephone, radio, TV and minibar. You can anytime make over 40 international TV broadcasting channels in your room. The hotel is equipped with 30 seat of 2 restaurants. We are ready all the time to serve our guests with national and international cuisines, high quality local and world class beverage and soft drinks.
Imports - Luxury Cognacs, Whiskeys, Tobacco Products
During transition to market economy period in Mongolia there was an influx of cheap, low quality cigarettes and whisky into the country. In addition our company import the cigarettes “Karelia Lights, Karelia Slims” from Greece and the cigarettes “Legal Super Slims, Legal Lights, Mond Lights” from Arabia Amirat in Mongolian market.
ABOUT
General Impex LLC started out as a general trading
export and import company in the aftermath of Mongolia’s transition to a market economy in 1991, when private companies, manufacturers and financing were scarce. The company raised working capital and was up and running in considerably short period of time thanks to our hard working staff and directors. As the country’s economy recovered and the private sector improved, we’ve ventured into the retail, electronics, hospitality, services, mining and real estate construction industries. When deciding which projects to implement, directly or indirectly participate in, General Impex focuses on environmentally friendly and socially beneficial projects that contributes the most to the country’s and capital city’s development. It is our policy to include
as many local businesses and companies in our projects, so as to create more sustainable local
jobs, develop porefessional skills and expertise and improve the living standards of people
through job creation.

Financing of NIC JSC
General Impex LLC successful export import business led us to finance NIC JSC to import petroleum products to Mongolia. NIC was a governmental joint stock company lacking working capital and investments during the late 90s and early 2000s. With our investments of over 4 million USD, 20 million in todays rate, NIC JSC was able to stand on its feet and supply diesel and petrol throughout Mongolia.
